Farmers Market at Ix, January 27, 2024

Put your mittens away this Saturday, the forecast is warm, and 100% chance of great food!  After the two chilly markets we have had we are excited to embrace the warm.  The farmers will be ready for you with fresh mushrooms, greens, fruits, squash, honey, eggs, local meats, and more! 

There are delicious hot and ready-to-eat foods available like pizza, empanadas, soup, and crab cakes, but did you know that those foods can also be bought frozen to take home and eat (the frozen foods are SNAP eligible too!) More great news for our SNAP users, we have renewed our Virginia Fresh Match coupons for another year.  That means you can buy more produce when you use SNAP.  Ask more about it at the market booth. 

New to the market this week is Bald and Beautyful a men's beard and skin care product line, Nicola Jay Merriman Art ceramics, Broken Arrow Creations sunprints, Crystal Box toys, Run Punch with Jamaican cuisine, and fan favorite from last year's Thursday Sunset markets, SFG Foods with mouth-watering dishes (So Freakin' Good)!

And look who's back in 2024...Girl's Day Out, Chaotic Good Tempeh, Emily Ruth Prints, Made by Mo Mo and Angel's Afghan Cuisine.  Welcome back, friends!  The market is certainly filling up and we look forward to seeing our smiling customers who show us how much local food and small businesses are appreciated.
