Farmers Market at Ix Art Park, Feb 3, 2024

What? It’s February?

Yup, and your trusty Farmers Market at Ix will be open tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. We’ve had many new applicants this year, and they are gradually coming in to test the waters of vending at the market. The weather is forecast to be sunny but cool. With the protection of the walls down on the plaza, it should be quite nice.

On the first Saturday of each month, we welcome Deep Roots Milling to the market. Their mill in Nelson County mills a variety of grains such as rye, spelt, corn, buckwheat, and more using a mill stone powered by water. Looking for the finished product? We have some new bakers in the market, Janey’s Bread (wood-fired sourdough) and Cookie Lane with beautiful baked goods. On the prepared foods list, new this week are Focaccia Divinia sandwiches and our old friend Khadija’s Kitchen with hot foods from Afghanistan.

Also making their 2024 debut is an old friend-Temelle Baskets with their handmade baskets and charming vendor Mohammed. Other new vendors include artisan Avegutto and Heartgrown Herbdicinals with herbal teas.
