Farmers Market at Ix, April 13, 2024

Spring and Summer hours are in affect: 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

Time is marching along. Although it is warming up, the wind will be an issue tomorrow. It’s not so much a concern for customers, but poses problems with tents and canopies. 30+ mph gusts are too much for even the strongest canopies!

However, ignore the weather and look for fresh spring strawberries from Agriberry. Coming from the Chesterfield and Henrico area, they should have enough to last through the market. We welcome the return of Lesley’s Garden, who also grows berries, plants, and the full range of produce.

It is the season when many farm vendors carry excess seedlings for your home garden. SNAP customers, you may also use SNAP and Fresh Match for food-producing plants!

Next week, The Market at Ix will be a community partner in the TomTom festival, showcasing entrepreneurs and working together. Look for special activities and an entrepreneur scavenger hunt.
